125 educators including visitors from schools in China and Hong Kong joined BISS teachers for a day of learning from Dylan Wiliam, a leading educational researcher and author. His current world tour started right here at BISS!

Our sole purpose for the day was becoming better educators. We explored the challenges of teaching students for an unknown future, and focused particularly on the power of formative assessment to improve achievement through student engagement and teacher responsiveness.

Research shows that formative assessment leads to a significant increase in student learning, so it was a valuable day to set aside for professional development. Read more about it in the upcoming Broadcast issues!
