Dear BISS Community, 

Due to the Ministry of Environmental Protection of the Peoples’ Republic of China issuing an orange alert for ozone heavy pollution, BISS is taking precautionary measures in order to insure the health and safety of our students. 

The precautionary measures include: 

• limited exposure to the outdoors
• remaining indoors for breaks and play time
• inquiry into the effects of heavy pollution and the ozone in China

We are in the process of reviewing our policies on air quality and safety for students to include procedures when an orange alert involving  ozone pollution is issued by the Peoples Republic of China. 

As always, the safety of our students and community is first and foremost.
